95.9 the FOX. Fairfield County's Only Classic Rock

Car of the Day: Friday, June 7th

Car: Ford Mustang GT Coupe
Year: 1966
What makes it special: The 1966 coupe featured a redesigned grille, new instrument cluster, new chrome styled rally wheels, an automatic transmission became available for the "Hi-Po" V8, side scoops featured chrome trim , and driving lamps were now available as an option.
What made it famous:  Lee Iacocca engineered the Ford Mustang project as Ford Division's General Manager, (Iacocca later became the head of Chrysler.)
Why I want it: I had a minted out 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe when I was 23, a "Shelby GT350 tribute", and I stupidly sold the car days after a bad break-up...a decision I still regret to this day, by the way...
Fun Fact: The 1966 Coupe remains the best selling Mustang of all time.
