Car: Lincoln Continental 4-Door Sedan
Year: 1961 (Fourth Generation)
What makes it special: The 1961 Continental was completely redesigned , and for the first time the names "Lincoln" and "Continental" would be paired together outside of Lincoln's "Mark Series."
What made it famous: (Unfortunately,in this case, more infamous): The 1961 Lincoln Continental in a customized convertible limo form's unfortunate association with the tragic event in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963.
Why I would want one: The sheer coolness of the 4-door model with the front opening rear "suicide doors" that opened in the opposite direction of the driver's and passenger's doors, becoming its most recognized trademark.
Fun Fact: The fourth generation of the Lincoln Continental is not only prized by collectors, but has also appeared in many motion pictures: "Goldfinger", "The Matrix", "The Last Action Hero", "Kalifornia", "Spiderman 2", and "Inspector Gadget" (among others.)
