AJ's Car of the Day: 1972 Pontiac Lemans GT Convertible

Car: Pontiac Lemans GT Convertible

Year: 1972

What makes it special: It's a "one of five" , ultra-rare muscle car.

What makes it famous: It's high output, 455 cu in V8 in a GT option in addition to factory air conditioning, power top, AM-FM 8-track, console, bucket seats, 8000 r.p.m. tachometer, honeycomb wheels & G70X14 Goodyear tires.

Why I would want one: The fact that this particular car shown in the photos is the only one to exist, so the question should be why I want to own the ONLY one...reason already implied.

Fun fact: Ordering the 455HO engine in an A-body platform in 1972 forced some mandatory options: the T-41 Endura option (GTO hood, fenders and front bumper), Ram Air induction system, 12 bolt rear, plus checking off the box for a 4-speed transmission got you an M-22,(there was no other choice.)
