Hey Stamford! Food Festival

Celebrating food, culture and community, the 3rd Annual Hey Stamford!
Food Festival is set for Saturday, August 24 & Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Stamford
Downtown’s Mill River Park from 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Tickets are on sale now at

Over two days, The Hey Stamford! Food Festival will feature close to 50 of the area’s
most delectable food trucks and vendors, The Blind Rhino Beer Garden featuring
Corona, Modelo and Half Full Brewery, craft cocktail selections from Bulleit,
Captain Morgan, Don Julio & Smirnoff. Plus a full concert experience on the
Stamford Ford Lincoln main stage. Returning for the 2nd year is The Fairfield
County Bank Kids Zone, featuring a kids activities, face painters, balloon artists and
painting lessons.

B.B. King’s Blues Band ft. Michael Lee (from NBC’s hit TV Show The Voice).
Michael Lee has teamed up with B.B. King’s Blues Band, keeping the musical legacy of
B.B. King alive. For over half a century, B.B. King and B.B. King’s Blues Band defined
the blues to the world, averaging over 250 sold out concerts per year, with classics like
“The Thrill Is Gone,” “Every Day I Have The Blues,” “How Blues Can You Get,” and
“Why I Sing The Blues”.

Hudson Valley’s “The Big Takeover”, also joins the fray! The seven-piece
reggae/ska/roots band from New York will bring their big sound & high energy music to
the mainstage. The Big Takeover’s global blend unleashes “creativity with a celebratory
grandeur” says The Poughkeepsie Journal.

Brother & sister duo Auguste and Alden help kick-off the afternoon with their
roots/rock blend perfect for a Summer afternoon. Auguste (bass/vocals) and Alden
(guitar/vocals), has it all: brother Alden’s gravely tenor, sister Auguste’s seamless vocal
harmonies, solid drumming by Sean Lemkey (who also sings and plays guitar) has the
feel of a band that’s just starting to find its footing.

Sunday, August 25th will take you back with the hits of the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and today;
kicking it off with AM Gold and their brand of Yacht Rock followed by a live
14-piece concert experience with Decades Rewind – The Best Live Nostalgia Music

AM Gold Yacht Rock is a New York City based tribute band, performing the
adult-contemporary hit songs from the late 1970’s through the mid 1980’s. Artists
include Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Huey Lewis, Christopher Cross, Lionel Richie and so
many more!

Decades Rewind – ‘The Best Live Nostalgia Music Show’ will be your chance to
experience the music of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s. Featuring over 60 songs, Decades Rewind
blends unique medleys keeping the audience singing and dancing the whole time. From
Abba to Aretha, Cyndi to Chicago, Madonna to Marvin Gaye, Decades Rewind pays
tribute to the biggest hits of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.

The culinary scene will be on display when some of our area’s top food trucks, chefs,
artisans and purveyors take over Mill River Park, including; Carms Kitchen, Coalhouse
Pizza, Crazy Taco Mex, DCW (Donuts, Churros, Waffles), Dinosaur Bar-B-Que,
Fryborg, Gelotti (Gelato Festival Champion), Gotta Go Greek, Kona Ice, Longford’s
Ice Cream, M & M Steaks, Mac N’ Cheese Truck, Melt Mobile, Oyster Party, Pierogies
on Wheels, Rice & Beans, Ted’s Steamed Cheeseburgers, The Cannoli Truck, The
Chamo, Waffle Box, Weenie Lynn’s and many more!

Event times: 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm (Saturday & Sunday). Rain or shine, all ages event.
