This week we'll be celebrating National Emergency Medical Services Week which publicizes safety and honors those EMS responders who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services on medicine's "front line." This year's theme is "EMS: More Than A Job. A Calling," and we'll be talking witrh a panel of emergency responders who have been answering that call for many years. Then we'll speak with an official at the Connecticut Dept of Children & Families about the more than 4,000 children in Connecticut who need foster or adoptive care - and the DCF's new system of comprehensive support for its foster and adoptive families called "Support is Everyone's Business." And we'll wrap things up by introducing you to the Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County which is partnering with the Norwalk Exchange Club for the Second Annual NorWALK, BIKE RUN event "Move a Muscle, Change a Life". We'll learn about the agency and find out all about their upcoming family event June 3 at Calf Pasture Beach.
